Since 2018, Surfr Media has worked closely with AccessAble, supporting the organisation through its major rebrand from DisabledGo and helping shape the visual identity that continues to define the brand today. AccessAble provides Detailed Access Guides for venues across the UK, helping disabled people and individuals with access requirements make informed decisions by offering trusted information about accessibility, facilities and inclusive environments.
Our partnership with AccessAble has evolved far beyond the initial rebrand project, developing into a long-term creative collaboration spanning a huge range of design, marketing and communication materials. Over the years, we have designed website pages, accessibility icons and symbols, brochures, flyers, posters, magazine and newspaper adverts, explainer guides, presentations, sales decks, online training courses, digital signage, merchandise, maps, exhibition stands and event backdrops. We have also developed a range of custom-designed characters and illustrated environments that have become a recognisable and much-loved part of the AccessAble brand itself.
A core focus throughout every stage of the creative process has been accessibility and inclusive design. Because inclusivity sits at the heart of AccessAble’s purpose, it has also become central to our approach as designers. Every detail — from typography, font sizing and colour contrast through to layouts, iconography and illustration styles — has been carefully considered to ensure content remains clear, welcoming and accessible to as many people as possible. This inclusive design philosophy has helped create a visual identity that feels approachable, trustworthy and genuinely representative of the communities AccessAble supports.
Working across such a broad range of promotional, educational and informational materials has allowed Surfr Media to play a key role in the ongoing development and consistency of the AccessAble brand. Whether someone encounters an AccessAble exhibition stand, digital advert, presentation, website graphic or printed guide, the aim has always been to create immediate recognition and reinforce the organisation’s values of trust, clarity and inclusivity.
This long-term collaboration demonstrates the importance of strategic graphic design and accessible visual communication in building a modern, recognisable and purpose-driven brand. Through thoughtful design, consistent branding and inclusive creative direction, Surfr Media has helped AccessAble strengthen its identity and communicate its mission to audiences across the United Kingdom.

“We have worked with Surfr since 2018. What sets them apart is their ability and desire to get to know what your organisation is all about and where you want to go. They are really invested in helping you achieve success, which in turn means they produce designs and content which speak to you and those you want to engage. Matt and Rachel are passionate, talented, creative people who take real care in every aspect of their work. They’ve been integral to the success of our rebrand and we view them as part of the team.
