Surfr Media, based in Southport – widely recognised as England’s Golfing Capital – were approached by Fore Guys as a new golf brand in need of a distinctive identity that would stand out in an increasingly modern and style-driven golf market.
The ambition was to create a brand that broke away from traditional, conservative golf aesthetics and instead reflected the evolving nature of the sport – where performance, lifestyle and fashion now intersect. The brand needed to feel fresh, confident and adaptable across clothing, accessories and wider merchandise.
Our approach focused on developing a bold, intelligent identity system built around the word “Fore”. The first two letters were reimagined as a dynamic visual symbol, forming a mark that represents a golf ball in motion – capturing the energy, movement and direction of the game itself. This concept allowed the branding to function seamlessly in multiple formats, with both the logotype and symbol designed to work independently or together across apparel, packaging and digital applications.
The result is a clean, versatile and instantly recognisable brand identity that sits confidently within the modern golf apparel space while maintaining strong commercial flexibility for future product expansion.
